This WAS back in those years, a SPECIAL award given to Graduate Assistant by the Instructor of a class.
IS the band gold....? probably Brass or plated metal A proud achievement of mine - personally I made it a challenge to be at every class and attain the extra award of 100 % Attendance for all classes.
With that goal, I choose to make a priority on my other management job in corporate to have over 32 years perfect attendance before retiring in 2001. These were FUN and learning classes. Miss them ... and helping others bring out skills they never knew they had for self improvement in life and beyond. Extremely proud ... yet to be a Graduate Assistant, you had to have taken the class before assisting any future class, and be recommended by the instructor (a no pay, highly rewarding position). The G.A.'s (usually 3-5 assistants per instructor) with his/her guidance and direction, which class member needed help, seeking strong points of the class and its members, and ALL G.A's gave samples of talks for each class - thinking on your feet and being prepared were valuable skills. You came prepared!
