July 29, 1981 Class of Dale Carnegie Class 239 photography taken by Steve Miller on July 1981 for our graduation (I'm on the left end-curly hair then!)  - this is 36 years of age...where are they now?

A young, talented and recent graduate of University Of Nebraska at Omaha in the early 80's whose skills brought him business and personal success, and happy marriage to a fellow student of
Dale Carnegie class. (must have been one of his many reasons for success).

One of D.C, rules are:
"The Golden Rule" and do not C. C. and C
(criticize, condemn or complain) 

Mr. Randy Hlavac taught many classes of Dale Carnegie/Peter DeVries Group
in Omaha, NE. in the 1980's.

June 2, 1982 Class # 254 of Dale Carnegie Class. Didn't make this class, behind the camera this time, yet still did the class as a Graduate Assistant - a rare opportunity, for I think I even did more classes, just have to find the photographs?

Must have been my last Graduate Assistant class...or I have more certificates stashed away somewhere...  Recognize two G.A.s, Jim Peebles and Scott Corbin - other then that?  This class was taught by son of owner Peter DeVries - instructor John DeVries
This WAS back in those years, a SPECIAL award given to Graduate Assistant by the Instructor of a class.

A proud achievement of mine - personally I made it a challenge to be at every class and attain the extra award of 100 % Attendance for all classes.

​With that goal, I choose to make a priority on my other management job in corporate to have over 32 years perfect attendance before retiring in 2001.

These were FUN and learning classes.  Miss them ... and helping others bring out skills they never knew they had for self improvement in life and beyond.

Extremely proud ... yet to be a Graduate Assistant, you had to have taken the class before assisting any future class, and be recommended by the instructor (a no pay, highly rewarding position).

The G.A.'s (usually 3-5 assistants per instructor) with his/her guidance and direction, which class member needed help, seeking strong points of the class and its members, and ALL G.A's gave samples of talks for each class - thinking on your feet and being prepared were valuable skills.  You came prepared!
