As a Past President of this group, one of the honors of serving as president and to keep the membership informed was to have a "PRESIDENT'S BOOK" for his/her term in that position.
...usually produce with the assistance of the editor of the PPN "News & Views" , and in some cases
Presidential input and directions.
It was to be a review of that years presidential activities and a recap of all events while he/she served and approved as president along with further board approval and fact checking before the publication was delivered.
The book usually took the size of a 5 x 7 size in a format for many, many years and might contain 30+ to
over 77 pages for my book...Mine had a history section provided by another past president!
I see recently the format has changed to 8 x 11 - same results, just larger and ...?
Bigger is not better, more costs and only needed for those REAL SENIORS who are absent from most events and need reading glasses - my p.o.v.-Steve
The book, also came with a report of the membership content, awards received and many photographs
of attendance at conferences.
- My book - broke MANY perceived idea ... the cover layout, President's message and many things were never done...
- It was my book, and I wished it MY WAY as the most informative of any book previously done
- IT's just a little larger than previous books - about 1/2"+ in size, although no text or images were lost, the book did not fit perfectly into my 8.5" x 11" scanner bed.
- Probably the largest in content (pages), and details of the membership ever provided.
- ENJOY... yet remember this is over 8 years old.
